Reviews and Ratings
During my stay, I found the hotel to be reasonably priced, but the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The location in the Centro area had its pros and cons; while it wasn’t as sketchy as rumored, I did feel uneasy walking around at night. The rooms were simple and clean, but the bathroom definitely needs some updating. For the price, it offers basic accommodations but not much more.
The Hotel Galicia offers a unique experience in Rio Centro, but it comes with significant downsides. While the hotel is basic and has a friendly staff willing to help, the condition of the rooms and the area can be quite concerning. On the positive side, the breakfast is simple but adequate, and there are some good dining options nearby. However, the lack of cleanliness in the rooms and the surrounding area can be off-putting.
During my stay at this hotel, I found it to be a basic yet clean accommodation that offers good value for money. The front desk staff were helpful and spoke English, which made the experience more pleasant. However, the room I stayed in was quite cramped for three people, and the bathroom really needs updating. Additionally, the included breakfast was quite basic. For those on a budget who just need a functional place to stay, this hotel does the job.
Hotel Galicia is a unique experience, albeit with some challenges. The location is quite rough, but the staff were friendly and helpful, which made up for some of the inconveniences. The rooms leave a lot to be desired, with cleanliness being an issue, but for the price, it is still an acceptable option if you're looking for budget accommodation. Just be prepared for some discomfort and noise during your stay.
I stayed at Hotel Galicia during the World Cup, and while it was a budget-friendly option, there were some issues that stood out. The hotel was clean, and the staff were helpful, which was a plus. However, the location felt a bit unsafe, especially at night, and the room left much to be desired with noticeable stains and lack of air conditioning. The breakfast was basic but sufficient for a quick start to the day.
